A Guide to Choosing the Right Hair Systems

Introduction

For several reasons, choosing a hair system is important, especially for individuals dealing with hair loss or those who want to enhance their appearance. Most people may be puzzled about how to make a good choice. Don’t worry, in this guide we will explain how to choose a hair system, so that you choose the most suitable hair system for you.

The following will be discussed from several aspects……

Base size

For stock hair systems, you need to measure the length and the width with a tape measure. The length is measured from the front hairline to the line between hair loss areas and healthy hair. The width is from side to side.

Record these measurements to determine the length and the width.According to these measurements, you can choose the appropriate base size. The regular size of the inventory is 8*10 inches, and the common ones are 6*8, 7* 9,6 * 9,7 *10.

For custom hair systems,……

Skin base

Skin hair systems are renowned for their realistic look. The poly material used for the base enhances durability compared to lace hair systems. Additionally, the skin base is easy to maintain and comfortable to wear, making it ideal for new users.

Superhairsystem offers thin skin bases in various thicknesses, ranging from 0.03mm to 0.06mm, allowing you to choose the most suitable option.

Typically, the 0.03mm skin base is not only the thinnest available but also provides the most natural appearance for hair systems. As shown in the figure above, we can see, the skin hair system has an invisible hairline, imitating the growth pattern of natural hair, and looks like your own hair. That’s why it’s the most popular choice. It is suitable for those who pursue a natural look as well as for novices. However, its shortcomings are distinctive– it is easy to tear, and most people usually wear it for about a month before they need to replace it. That is to say, the more natural its appearance, the less durable it tends to be.

Lace base

Thanks to its mesh-like structure, lace is highly breathable, making it ideal for those living in hot climates or prone to sweating. However, compared with skin hair systems, this same structure makes lace hair systems harder to clean and wear, and they are also more prone to tearing, requiring careful maintenance by the wearer.

Lace base is divided into French lace and Swiss lace. The difference between the two is that French lace is more durable, and Swiss lace is more soft. For a more comfortable fit, Swiss lace is the recommended choice.

Mono base

Mono-filament (or“mono”for short) resembles a lace hair system in appearance, but the wearing experience differs significantly. Mono hair systems are made of plastic material, which makes the wearer feel very hard and uncomfortable. Due to its bad wearing experience and less natural look, it’s not a popular choice.

However, it does have some benefits—it’s highly durable and more affordable than the first two options. So if you do not pursue a natural appearance and comfortable

wearing experience, choose this model is also OK.

Hair color

The choice of hair color is crucial because it directly affects the authenticity of the hair system. The hair color should be as close as possible to the natural color of the wearer’s scalp, so that the hair system looks more natural. Because of color difference , the hair system you receive may be different from the hair color displayed on the screen. Therefore, there are three options to solve the color difference problem and to help you choose the perfect hair color.

1.Send Your Own Hair Samples

This is the best option to match hair color.

If your hair is the same color, send a sample of 200 hairs.

If your hair color varies, send samples from the following areas:

Front: Hairline area.

Body: Top of your head.

Back: Center of the back of your head.

2.Use Color Swatches

You can ask for swatches to pick the closest four or six color swatches. And then you should observe swatches and your hair color under sunlight, natural daylight and artificial light. Finally, you choose a swatch that best suits your hair color.

Hair density

To determine your hair density, start by considering what your natural hair density was before any hair loss occurred. To check your current density, take a section of hair about an inch and gently pull it to the side. If you can see a significant portion of your scalp, your hair is likely light to medium in density. If you see very little of your scalp, you likely have high-density hair. If it’s in between, your hair density is probably moderate.

Additionally, it’s important to take into account your ethnicity and age, as hair density can vary depending on these factors.

Please follow the rules below:

Caucasian = extra-light to medium-heavy(60%-140%)

Black: medium to heavy(130%-150%)

Latin American = light-medium to medium-heavy(100%-140%)

Young people (18-30 years old): medium to heavy (130%-150%)

Middle-aged people (30-50 years old): medium (120%-130%) :

Seniors (50 +): light to medium (90%-130%)

This is our density level. You can refer to it to decide your hair density.
